We run three lines of Cloud VPS. They share the same foundation — full root, encrypted ZFS storage at rest (AES-256-GCM), a dedicated public IP, and deployment in minutes — and differ in storage type, location, and what they're built for. Pick by what you're doing, not by hype.
The short version
- NVMe Cloud VPS (Katy, Texas) — Fastest storage. The default choice for anything performance-sensitive: web apps, databases, build servers, an app you actually serve traffic from.
- HDD Cloud VPS (Katy, Texas) — Spinning disk. More room per dollar, slower random I/O. Good for bulk storage, archives, media, backups, anything where capacity matters more than speed.
- SSD Cloud VPS (Cherryvale, Kansas) — Fast solid-state storage. A solid all-rounder, and the pick if you want your VM in Kansas rather than Texas.
What's the same on every plan
- Full administrator (root) access — it's your machine
- Your VM disk is encrypted at rest with ZFS (AES-256-GCM)
- A dedicated public IPv4 address
- Intel Xeon Scalable CPUs and DDR4 ECC memory
- Your choice of Linux distribution at order time, plus an optional desktop environment
- Deployed automatically — your server is ready within minutes
- Web console, reinstall, snapshots, and resize, from the portal or the customer API
How to choose
- Want it fast? NVMe. If you're not sure and you care about responsiveness, start here.
- Want it big and cheap? HDD. Capacity-first workloads where slower disk is fine.
- Want Kansas, or a balanced SSD? SSD Cloud VPS.
Every line comes in several sizes, from a small starter instance up to larger configurations. You can move between sizes later: upgrade when you outgrow a plan, and where a smaller plan is available a downgrade credits the prorated difference back to your account balance. (One limit to know: a change that would shrink your disk isn't supported, so resizing is mostly an upward path.) See the order page to compare current sizes and prices side by side, and What Is a VPS and What Do You Get? for the basics.
Billing is Bitcoin, through our own self-hosted BTCPay Server. You top up an account balance and we draw from it as your service renews.
