Acceptable Use Policy

Our network is unfiltered — no port blocks, no protocol restrictions. The flip side is a short, clear list of things you may not do. The full, binding policy is at /aup (an expanded form of section 4 of the Terms of Service). This article is a plain-language summary, not the policy itself.

Hard no's

These get an account terminated immediately, with no warning and no refund. The full list is in the AUP; the headline items:

  • CSAM — child sexual abuse material. Zero tolerance.
  • Spam — unsolicited bulk email or messaging at scale.
  • Attacks on others — DDoS, port-scanning, or network reconnaissance against third parties.
  • Malware and fraud tooling — malware, ransomware, surveillance software, carding tools, phishing platforms, fake exchanges, botnet command-and-control.
  • Threats or harassment — against our staff or other customers.
  • Anything criminal under US federal law.

Explicitly fine

You can run any lawful workload. Things people often ask about, all permitted with no special approval:

  • Privacy services — VPNs and Tor relays. (Relays are non-exit by default; running an exit relay needs coordination with us first.)
  • Bitcoin and Lightning nodes, and mining where your plan permits.
  • Self-hosted communication — Matrix, XMPP, Reticulum, email, and the like.
  • Controversial or unpopular speech, journalism, and whistleblowing platforms.
  • Lawful adult content, subject to US record-keeping requirements.
  • Software development, including dual-use security tooling — as long as it isn't aimed at third-party victims.
  • Research and education.

Your content is yours

You are solely responsible for what you put on the service. We don't pre-review, moderate, or filter customer content. We act on abuse only on a documented hard-prohibition violation, a lawful court order, or imminent harm to the platform or other customers.

For the exact, binding wording — and the parts not summarized here — read /aup. Abuse reports go to abuse@sovereignhybridcompute.com (see DMCA and abuse reports).
